Drop the input list the band sent and it opens on a console view a few seconds later, with the MixRack patch, gain and 48V, IEM and wedge mixes and FX sends to the factory FX rack. Open it in Director, save it there, and it's ready for the console.

- What is the dLive Show Maker?
- It's a free web tool I built. Drop a dLive show (.tar.gz) and it opens on a console view in the browser. Drop an input list, or just describe the show, and it builds the show for you. Open it in Director offline and save it there before it goes on a console.
- Which dLive systems and firmware does it support?
- Every dLive surface (S7000, S5000, S3000, C3500, C2500, C1500 and CTi1500) and every MixRack (DM0, DM32, DM48, DM64, CDM32, CDM48 and CDM64). It reads and writes show format 14, the format dLive firmware 2.x saves.
- How do I turn an input list into a dLive show?
- Drop the list on the page. Excel, CSV, PDF, Word and plain text all work. You get names, colors and stereo pairs on odd and even inputs, the MixRack patch with gain and 48V, and a starting HPF, EQ, gate and comp on each instrument. Guesses are marked on the strips with a ?, and you fix them right there.
- Can I just describe the show?
- Yes. Type the band and whether you're on FOH or monitors, and it plans the channels, the mixes and the FX. That part runs on AI, so it asks for your email the first time.
- Will the show load on my console?
- It starts from Allen & Heath's own factory show and writes each section the way Director does. Still, open it in dLive Director offline and save it there, then load Director's save on the console at prep, not for the first time at the gig.
- Why do you ask for an email?
- Only to build from a description, or from a list too messy to read by rules. That part runs on AI and every run costs me money. Your email goes on my email list and you can unsubscribe any time. One email unlocks it in your browser for good.
- Is it free, and is it made by Allen & Heath?
- It's free. It's not made by or affiliated with Allen & Heath. I'm a touring FOH engineer in Nashville and I built it for the road.
